Preparation & application
- Resolve active leakage and plumbing defects. Remove dust, grease, poorly adhering material and efflorescence; repair cracks and allow new plaster to cure. Remove existing putty to plaster level in affected areas, extending one foot beyond the affected area on all sides.
- Damp / efflorescent surfaces: brush-apply a first coat at 10% dilution, followed by a perpendicular undiluted second coat. Allow 6–8 hours after each coat.
- Sound surfaces: apply one undiluted coat and allow 6–8 hours. Finish with two waterproofing-putty coats, then sand, clean and paint as specified. Highly porous masonry requires the scratch coat described in the TDS.
